Our mind controls our thoughts but our heart controls the volume of all that matters.
We cannot change if we do not make the necessary adjustments to our habits to listen for it.
A hearts symphony being played by life’s simplIstic sympathy. Sometimes endlessly, and most times with an unwelcome demand of misery. Our demons sing songs that we unwillingly listen to because we set unfulfilled expectations that alter the volume of our hearts hopes. Hope that we will one day change by controlling our own internal sound. No sound is more audible than the one that is produced by our mind. No dance is more intricate than the one performed by our heart.
I told my feet to stop moving, and my ears to deafen the sounds that my shadows played. I told my heart to play loud enough to give me what I needed to drown out the demons voids. All I wanted was to find a note within the key and octave that my heart resonated at. Eventually my mind got tired enough to actually pay attention to the songs that played out of key, and figured out ways to listen to the music that I wanted to hear through taking action. Within trying comes reason and within reason comes action. All of the little things that make a difference are only possible when we listen enough to let them.
Sometimes when we give up hope and any noise at all becomes exactly what we need to hear. That is exactly what our demons use to hold us down while they blast their misery into our lives. We must focus on what we want to hear inside of happiness enough to have it play loud enough to appreciate.
What will you do today to make sure that your heart is heard and your happiness is no longer silenced?
