A promise to oneself to never fall back in…
To the things that led to living a life of sadness back then.

I will find every reason to keep moving and to keep my head held high…
I will solely focus on my soul as I soar toward the sky.

I will use them where needed and let my lessons lead the way…
I will remain thankful for the air I breath on every unclouded day.

I will no longer give attention to the sweet nothings you whisper to me…
I will no longer give you the chance to rip away the beauty that I now see.

For the most real of things that I’ve ever spoke…
Are the beautiful stories behind finding love which you once said was a joke.

It wasn’t one time that you lied in full…
It was every time you promised answers wrapped inside of that faithless spool.

I will be sure that I now Let Go and Let God…
I will no longer live a life driven by your endless fraud…
I will now find pride in how far I have climbed and how hard my heart has clawed.
