Down and Up, Not Out
When you hit your lowest bottom, there is nowhere to go but up.
Why try? Why make an effort to change? Why not stay in my comfort zone and not care? These amongst many more are questions that anyone dealing with a really low point in life ask themselves. Not from time to time, but all the time. I speak from experience and can promise you that it is so damn hard to care enough to begin the process of finding yourself when you are at that point.
I consider myself so lucky. Luckier than most that I was able to find the courage and strength to wake up and tell myself that I was bigger than anything that faced me. That nothing could hit me hard enough to keep me down. I finally realized that I mattered because I had a purpose even though I didn’t know what it was at the time. You will never find a reason to start if you aren’t feel tired of what you are going through enough to stop.
If you plan on finding your peace then think about the loops you continue to end up in and the result of them. Find a reason to make your change a promise to yourself, rather than an unfulfilled thought. Find your worth by caring about you even through what seems to be impossible.
What will you do today to understand that just because you have been down does not mean that you have to remain there?
